In Xochimilco, or
also named 'the place of flowers' lies the last remains of the system of
canals and ingeniously lay out gardens with which the lake Texcoco ever was
interweaved. It is now a suburb of Mexico-city, but one time it was no more
than a small island in the lakes (Texcoco) around Tenochtitlán.
